It is not 33 Hours!

Here at GetMeRenewed.com, we receive inquiries from Washington real estate agents who are confused about the number of hours they need to complete in order to fulfill their continuing education requirements.

Below is an example email we received from a real estate agent who thinks it is 33 Hours:

Karen,
As you may know, in addition to the 30 clock hours required every two years for license renewal, Washington State requires a 3-hour “CORE” class to also be taken, for a total of 33 hours.  Does your offer include that?
Kristin

As you can see, Kristin thinks that she needs 33 credit hours. We are here to clarify what the renewal requirements are for real estate agents on their second and subsequent renewals.

The requirement is 27 hours of electives and 3 hours of (CORE: current issues in Washington). A total of 30 Credit Hours.

If you are Broker or Managing broker, you will need 30 Credit Hours. If you are a newly licensed real estate agent on your first renewal, you will need a total of 90 Credit Hours. These 30 Credit hours that we offer in addition to another 60 Credit credits.

Still not convinced, look it up at the Washington Department of Licensing’s (DOL) website. We made it is easy for you by including a screenshot. You’re welcome!
